Music Therapy UI/UX

App Walkthrough
The work showcased was part of my Production Project module in my final year at university.
This was an open brief which required me to develop a Creative Media product, which must showcase the use of different skills I have learnt throughout my degree.
Giving the freedom we had, I chose to create a product that tackles a real world issue which doesn’t have too many competitors in the space. I decided to design and develop a music-therapy led app, which suggests wellness content based on the persons inputted mood .
One key selling point of this app is that that it packages other tools to cater the users feelings, there is a section for music, breathing exercises and story books.

Design process
Low Fidelity Prototypes
My design process began with paper wire-framing, which served an important process for defining user journeys. Testing these low-fidelity prototypes early on allowed me to gather usability feedback, ensuring the app's flow was intuitive before moving into high-fidelity development.
High Fidelity Prototypes
This was one of the first high-fidelity mockups I made. The feedback I received from users trialling my paper wireframes was to make things bigger and more clear.
I then set tasks for users with this version of the UI and found out I need to rework how to change to different sections.
User Feedback
Upon this feedback I designed these sections, which is a clearer and more concise way of navigating what functions you want to use.
